A Neighborhood Place to Settle In
A neighborhood bar, the way it should be.
Some places just stick with you.
They're the neighborhood bars and grills you grew up going to — where the food was familiar, the drinks were cold, the game was always on, and there was never much of a reason to leave once you got comfortable. For owners Maddie Newland and TJ Rattray, that feeling is at the heart of what they're building in San Diego's Midway District.
Inspired by those old-school local hangouts and the laid-back spirit of California coastal living, the idea is simple: create a place where good food, good drinks, and good company come together without the fuss. Think artisan wood-fired pizza, fresh housemade American favorites, local craft beer, thoughtfully selected wines, and something for everyone at the table. Wings for the game, sandwiches for lunch, fries worth sharing, and a cold drink after a long day. But it's about more than what's on the menu.
It's a place for neighbors to catch up, families to celebrate a big game, friends to meet before a show at Pechanga Arena, and local schools and sports teams to bring people together for a good cause. From weeknight game nights to holiday parties and community give-back events, we want to be part of the neighborhood's everyday life — not just somewhere you visit when there's a special occasion. No need to dress up. No special occasion required. Just come as you are.
Because every neighborhood deserves a spot like that.
